Strood Academy

Strood Academy, Strood, Kent

Strood Academy was a new £26 Million development of facilities for 1400 students. It was one of three Academies built by BAM construction for Medway Council, all of which were BREEAM rated. The project was named the Best New Building at the Medway Culture and Design awards with the jury stating the project had ‘raised the bar in excellence and design and was wholly innovative in its approach to construction, sustainability and renewable energy. The project was also shortlisted for a RIBA 2014 South East Award.

Roofline also secured another of the three projects to be built with BAM, namely Brompton Academy.
