SOCU (Southampton Operational Command Unit)

SOCU (Southampton Operational Command Unit), Southampton, Hampshire

Built by Kier Southern, the £32m landmark building will now house more than 500 officers and civilian staff in a state-of-the-art new facility which has been purposefully designed to be fit for policing in the 21st century. Standing eight floors tall with an impressive front reception space, the new centre will change the face of policing in Hampshire by allowing previously widespread operations to be centralised under one roof for the first time. The Roofline group were involved with this project from early on and assisted in the waterproofing material selection and design process to help Kier deliver a truely stunning addition to the Southampton skyline.
