One Brighton, a £30 million regeneration project is one of the country’s first ‘One Planet Living’ communities. The iconic scheme, constructed by Denne provides 172 apartments (30% of which are affordable), over 1000sqm of B1 commercial space, and 952sqm of community space. The project which was a joint venture between Crest Nicholson and BioRegional Quintain, boasts a myriad of features designed to satisfy the 10 principles of One Planet Living. Developed by BioRegional and WWF, the principles include zero carbon and waste, sustainable water provision and transport, the use of local and sustainable materials, as well as culture and heritage aspects and the provision of wildlife habitats.
