Brompton Academy

Brompton Academy, Gillingham, Kent

Brompton was the second Academy to be built by BAM following the Strood Academy whereby Roofline had previously installed 7,000m² of waterproofing.

The facilities include a science lecture theatre, drama theatre, sports hall and fitness suite and a dance studio, a number of ICT suites as well as classrooms with a hi-tech network throughout the new buildings.

The school is able to generate some of its own electricity using photovoltaic panels on the roof, and has the capacity to sell some to the grid. High levels of insulation, energy efficient boilers and natural ventilation has been installed to minimise future energy costs.
