Roofline are pleased to confirm that we have secured the specialist waterproofing requirements on the Oasis Academy project in Croydon. We had been involved on this project from an early stage, advising and discussing the varying waterproofing options available with the Architect and the Willmott Dixon’s design team to ensure the systems were tailored to meet the client’s requirements.
We are due to install approximately 3000m² of bituminous built up felt systems and we are pleased to have also secured the structural metal decking, rooflights and the roof safety system within the project. The academy is a new secondary school for children aged 11 -16 and will focus on sport and science. The school is adjacent to Croydon Arena Athletics track and forms part of Croydon’s Olympic legacy. It is anticipated the school will take in around 180 new students each year before eventually growing to full capacity by September 2019. We are due to commence the waterproofing in November 2015.
