The Roofline Group are pleased to confirm we have secured the specialist waterproofing package for the new 25m Nishkam School in West London with BAM Construction.
Our scope of works include the installation of approx. 5000m² of waterproofing consisting of a combination of structural hot melt waterproofing and bituminous built up felt systems.
Nishkam schools are Sikh-ethos, multi-faith schools for boys and girls aged 4-19. Building works in West London will provide places for 1400 pupils and be set over two and three storeys with four wings radiating from a central hub. The works include a four-court sports hall, two dining halls, a main assembly hall, and a central faith area with an ETFE dome. Outside will be a multi-use games area and grass pitches.
An extensive solar array on the roof will allow it to meet the sustainability requirements of the London Plan. There will be electric charging points in the car park, and the football field will be used for storm attenuation.
We are due to commence the waterproofing in April 2017.
